FO

Here is a sweater that I finished not too long ago, I gifted it to a friend in Kentucky, for her little boy. I made it out of Lion Brand Cotton Ease in size 0-6 months. I am making one in opposite colors for my little boy. The pattern was a freebie from Caron yarns, but I couln't stand to put acrylic on a baby...however, I did want to make sure that it was durable. My only problem with it was seaming, I do it the way everyone says to, but I don't think they look that pretty, I think I may adapt the next one to do in the round.
In other news, I am a mother of a two year old, and a 4 month old. Things do stay pretty busy. That is okay though , I wouldn't have it any other way. She seems to be the queen of the tantrums lately, and I must say I can't wait for that to quit. Their father, the object of my divorce, seems to dissapoint them and me time and again. I think I might give up on that one. He left her birthday party the other day so he could go do laundry...I don't believe it. A man who never did more that a load in the five years we were married suddenly skipped his daughters birthday for a laundry-mat. Posted by Picasa

Funny, I do have a BSE in art...

You Should Get a MFA (Masters of Fine Arts)

You're a blooming artistic talent, even if you aren't quite convinced.
You'd make an incredible artist, photographer, or film maker.

Wow! I can't believe I'm blogging!

For awhile now I have wanted to get my own blog so I could chat about knitting with the rest of the civilized universe. And the rest of the world in general. I am a new knitter. Or at least I think I am. I have only been knitting for about three years, and sometimes I do not have much time, but I try to knit as much as possible. I hope to have an interesting blog, so I guess I should tell you about myself.......
I am a 27 year old mother of two and a director of a daycare center. I am currently getting a divorce and loving it. I had a bad marriage, since he didn't think he had to act married, I granted his wish. I graduated from the local university this last spring semester with a bachelors in education and art, kindergarten through 12th grade, and an associates degree in French, it's technically some other degree, since they don't give associates in French, but I'm not really sure how that works. The lady in the university office filed the paperwork and said it was the same thing.
I am currently living in Missouri, with very few people who know how to knit, thus the blog. I have wanted to participate in all of the contests, and knitalongs, but I did not think that it was fair of me to try and join without really putting myself out there.
Well, I am going to go for right now, but trust me, there will be a lot more to come.
